Some important notes:

Suspension

With such a big range in payload (900kgs) because of the need to carry 110kgs of black water, the coil suspension system will be sub optimized.

The value of hot dipped galvanized steel for the chassis often poorly understood:

  • Hot dip galvanizing protects steel from corrosion by providing a thick, tough, metallurgically bonded zinc envelope, which completely covers the steel surface and seals it from the corrosive action of its environment.
  • Galvanizing’s cathodic protection for steel ensures that small areas of the base steel exposed through severe impacts or abrasion, are protected from corrosion by the surrounding galvanized coating.
  • During galvanizing the work is completely immersed in molten zinc and the entire surface is coated, even recesses and returns which often cannot be coated using other processes. Because of access holes in some of the RHS, internal surfaces are also coated simultaneously.

The value of air suspension:

  • The advantage of the air suspension is very significant on 2 ways: When travelling, you can glide accross the corrugations and rutted roads with more comfort and at a better speed. When camping, with the optional paddle air valves, you can adjust the height with uneven ground and get a perfectly level caravan in seconds. So easy!
